TOPIC: Hip for iPad

Hip for iPad 11 years 10 months ago #51345

I just did a mock inspection using my iPad on my own home and the residential default template.
When completed I sent to cloud and then downloaded to home computer. The following observations
1. Some of my pictures didn't show up in the report. When I checked the iPad they were there but I had made comments after taking the picture so don't know why this caused the pics not to transfer.

2. Items in the template that were not on the home or are not applicable to this unit still showed up on the report, not checked but just here as hey were when inspecting? Would like to know how to delete these from the report.

3. The page separations were terrible causing me to have a 32 page report. So,e pages had just one item?

Any guidance would be appreciated. I have requested some templates from a couple of inspectors on the boards and hope that this will give me a much better head start.

Hi George,

Welcome to the forums!

1. Do you still see the pics on the iPad in those sections?

2. Go to Report Settings->Options->Item Options and you can set items with no comments or photos attached to them not to show up. Also when you generate the report you can uncheck any sections you don't want to print.

3. Go to Report Settings->Options and set the report to print in continuous mode. This removes page breaks. Some guys want every section to start on a new page, some don't.

Go to the Templates & Sample Reports section of this board. You'll see dozens of templates there that have been shared by other inspectors.

Yep the pictures were still on the iPad. Did a second upload to cloud, overwrite and then downloaded to computer and now they are there. This happened yesterday when I was playing around with it as well.

Got it on the settings...thanks...still a lot to learn

I have spent many hours on the message boards and have just been in email contact with bill boerner and he has sent me his template.

Thanks

I just did my first "real" inspection on the iPad.  Everything worked great, but...  The Client Information did not transfer over to my PC.  It is on the iPad but apprently it did not sync.  Is it me or the program?
