at some point you need a wireless connection to the Internet.
Using home inspector Pro on your computer you upload any and all templates you want to use. On your phone or tablet you select which template you would like to use. You open the template and you assign it a name. You conduct your inspection and add any information that you so desire (does not have to be complete). You get back to the office (where there is a Wi-Fi or Internet connection) and you sink the inspection report (which you named individually and gave it a specific report name) with your main computer. When you open your computer program you download the report (that you named) and the report with its template is saved in your home inspection Pro folders. You open the program and open a report (selecting the name of the report you just did). You finish up the report and send it is normal. If you want to take photographs you can do it anywhere. When you're on site you can take a photograph and attach it to the section of the report were you want to go and it will be there when you get back to the office. If you want to take a bunch of other pictures with a real good camera (which is what I do mostly), you simply way to you get back to the office on the big computer and you batch upload them after you download your on-site mobile home inspection report. You just open up photographs and annotate them and assign them to the appropriate location and your report will be finished just like you do at any other time. You're not specifically limited to any particular use between the two programs. You can do is much as you want on-site. Sometimes I just don't have time to mess with it. I set up my program to get the specifics of the report (such as the things required reporting by the state home inspection licensing board) so I don't leave the site without gathering the appropriate information. You can discrepancy narrative while on site and expound upon it when you get back to the office if necessary. Just like everything else at home inspector Pro, there is no specific way that you must do anything. You set it up the way you want it to work. If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to do it, it doesn't prohibit you from going on further. If you don't complete all of your information on site, it doesn't matter. If you do, all the better. I recommend that you just get the program and work with it as you see fit. The biggest question is do you want to do inspection reports on site or wait until you get back to the office? I collect on-site information five different ways (and it does get confusing sometimes). Home inspector Pro does not require you to conform to the program. You use it to the extent necessary for your requirements and go from there. There is no reason to do a demo one there are 200 million potential options of using the two programs. The major issue is that the two programs sink together, regardless of how you want to use them. You decide the parameters of the program and your report. That is the most important thing when it comes to computer technology. I don't work for my computer, my computer works for me. |
