Occasionally, but not very often, I get asked to back to a home and check the repairs. The recently switched to HIP from a Word-based document. In the Word report, I could easily open the report and modify the summary pages to indicate if an item had been repaired or had not been repaired. How can I do that in HIP? Do you do repair inspections? How do you produce a "report" of the repairs? Thanks for your help.

There are a few ways to accomplish this.
Ask for the list of repairs requested for re inspection. You are able to open up the original report at document your findings that way. I usually start a blank report, enter clients info and then just note the areas of the re inspection. (you can select form options) I even just use an email for the re inspection if there are only a few areas. I hope you found this helpful, be glad to assist further. |

What David said. Just open the inspection, edit and generate a new report. It's best to save it as a new file too so you have both copies.

Is there a way to keep the original summary statements in read and make the new/additions a different color? Thanks.

Never go back and change the original report. Simply issue a one page document stating the repairs to...xxxx were completed. NEVER EVER change your original report. It is for your protection

There is nothing sweeter than the smell of fresh cut grass on a baseball infield, the click of a wooden bat and the taste of a hot dog at a warm sunny daytime double-header.
