TOPIC: Photo comments and report comments sometimes redundant?

Re: Photo comments and report comments sometimes redundant? 12 years 6 months ago #48491

Dominic, As your working on the photos, is it possible to select a report section just from the 1st drop down box and have the photo print at the bottom of that section?

I have been making a tab called "Comments" which I send all my photos to and have it print out last. Still hunting for a second drop down is time consuming.

No, you'd have to have 2 dropdowns. The problem with just having one is people would end up wanting a 2nd and forgetting. What's the logic behind putting them at the end of the section rather than within?

They are at the end in most cases anyway unless you have a hundred electrical problems in one section.

Don't want to get rid of the second, just a way for it to go to the end of the section page if the second is  not selected.

You have an option to print pic's at the end of the report. Just wondering if you could opt to "end of page" for that section selected in box #1.

I could, I'm just trying to think of A. How to make it not look like it's part of the item above, B. How to stop the complaints from people who only select one and their pic goes where they don't expect. Not a bad idea though.

This would save a click per pic and wading through an even larger list than what is in Box #1 for each photo.

Also, you could quickly load all photos taken (even for note taking purposes), they will show up for that section for a narrative and be quickly removed before generating the report.

If someone forgets #2, and the pic ends up at the bottom, they just have to go to photos and add the Box #2's they missed. I have to do that a lot anyway because I often stick pic's under another sub-title from other similar issue photos and have to go back and get them all in the same place.

If they just went under one location "electrical" instead of panels, conductors, breakers,AFCI, GFCI, branch circuits, etc...

Michael I was just going to post this same question but thought I would search for it first.  This part of the program is frustrating.
