I wanted a way to carry the phone, protect it and make it easy to access for entering the data. I love the quick release belt clip and with the flap the phone stays protected.
I think this phone is the best thing I ever bought for dual purpose between phone and using the mobile software. I like the bigger screen even for dialing numbers.
