I am currently having a problem with adding comments. I can add comments in some of the categories, but not in others. I click "edit comments" at top, then click the "add" button and type in a new comment, but sometimes, the new comment does not show, such as in the "Deck/Stairs" category. I want to add a comment about the stairs deteriorating, but unsuccessful. What am I doing wrong?

I would close out of the program and then reopen.(Save work) You may find the comment there after re opening.

What version of HIP are you using?

Leon, they are probably in the 2nd column of comments. Click the right arrow at the bottom of comments to go to the next column.

Hey Dominic,

Is there a way to make the scroll function of comments go down instead of to the right?  I'm used to windows functioning down more than to left and right.  Thanks.

Hi Clint,

I know it might seem off at first, but give it a chance. It was done on purpose long ago after vertical scrolling caused guys to lose a lot of time while doing on site inspections. You'll find that once you get used to it scrolling to the right is MUCH better for the use of this program. The problem with vertical is that when you're going through the program quickly it's too easy to scroll past the comment you want, or think you might have. Then you end up scrolling up and down trying to find out if you've might have passed the comment you're looking for. Instead clicking the right arrow a single time gives you 50 more comments and you're guaranteed you didn't go past your comment too quickly and miss it.

Good point.  It won't take but a few reports to make it second nature to scroll right.
