Hi Dom,
I really like the software you have developed, it would be a even better if HIP had an auto save built in to the program.
I have had a dew instances where the program quit responding (locked up) and I had to redo the report.  I have the program running on a iBook G4 with a 10.5 MAC OS.

Thanks,  :)

Hi Tom,

You definitely want to make sure to click Save every 10-15 minutes or so. We used to have auto save but disabled it as computers weren't fast enough and the 10-15 second lag time was messing people up. Because things are faster we do have a plan to add it in as an option to a future update.

Every 5 minutes the deeper you get into the report. That was a lesson I did not enjoy learning ::)

I have to disagree with Dom.  Every 10 or 15 minutes is not often enough.  Depending on how you have your template designed, that will give you clues on how often to save.  Every time I complete a main Section, I save my work.  There is a lot of information that can be added in a 10 minute period that I would hate to lose and have to reload.  I would like a "SAVE" button, where it automatically saves the open report without asking for a file name and another button to click.  If you want to save the file as another name, then you can have the "Save As" button.  JMHO.

There is nothing sweeter than the smell of fresh cut grass on a baseball infield, the click of a wooden bat and the taste of a hot dog at a warm sunny daytime double-header.

There used to be a Save and Save As. Problem was too many guys had problems between the two. What if I added it back under the File menu?

I would like to see a save and save as button on the tool bar. It can't be that difficult to differentiate between the two particularly if they have a different colored button. However, it would also be helpful to have an automatic save option as well.
