TOPIC: First Letters being Deleted

Why are you adding a comment with lists then deleting the whole thing?

Ha, I wondered when you were going to ask that.  I know it sounds nuts but when I need to write a really specific comment and I have no intention of saving it in my template, I just click any comment and send it over to the red/black.  I've actually started leaving a blank comment in each list and now I use it for those unique custom comments.(when I remember to!) I just had a couple this week where it happened and I remembered I had never asked you about it.

That's what I thought you were going say and you already stated my suggestion! Keeping a blank comment at the beginning of your comments will work perfectly and save you a step (deleting text from previous comment).
