Hi Guys, I heard there are a bunch of Homegauge users (or previous users) who have switched to HI Pro... I'm looking to get away from the "HG branding" overload and am trying to get a feel for how you past HG'ers are finding it here. Were you able to get the reports to look and flow well ? I personally don't care for all the colors and large borders / shading etc. Is the actual time spent generating the report any quicker ? Is there a truly global comments library, shared accross all templates ? Are the "report delivery emails" sent from HI Pro sent from HI Pro or do they look like they came from you ? When client goes to the report viewing landing page, does it look like a HI Pro web-page or is it just a blank page (or my page) with the report link ? Is there anything else you like better using HI Pro vs HG ? Thanks guys. After many hours spent over the years getting things and comments set-up just right, it's tough to throw it all away and strart fresh, but there comes a time.... |

I'm sure some of the other guys will show up and comment. I see you're logged in as demo so you won't get a notice of postings here though.
Report Delivery emails are sent from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with ReplyTo set to you. You'll find this with every email service. It's not a branding thing, it's just the only want to not get caught in spam folders. One of the biggest spam triggers is when email from one domain is sent by another server, so that's the only way around it. If you have your own site you could upload the PDF's to you site too. If you have a website with us then the report is 100% put into your site, no branding anywhere. You can of course just email the PDF file too. HIP is made for PDF and looks sharp (check out the sample reports above), where HG is meant for web pages which is why everyone uses the upload service. No global comments library, they are per template. I don't know if anyone has requested a global library, but you can very easily copy/paste between templates by opening two copies of the program. You can also suggest this feature in our new features section of the forum. If enough guys want it , we'll create it. I'll let the others comment on time. The biggest time saver in my opinion would be how we handle photos. |

I can tell you many of the differences between he two programs. I own both and use HIP almost exclusively. You need to do better than Demo Demo, from Demo Land for answers here.
Suspicious post. :-X |

Drew, he asked the question after I redirected him here from InspectionNews. He must have been logged into the demo account listed to test out the site. I will post on inspectionNews to let him know there are some answers.
