I am new to HIP so this is a beginner's question. I am working on creating a template and a sample report to post on my website. I am slowly figuring out the structure of my template. However, as I create the sample report, I find myself te-typing the same observations and comments repeatedly. I tried fooling with the lists feature but wasn't sure that was what I needed. When I go into a damage panel, I would like to access a bunch of my comments - like "Appears in good condition", "Operational", etc. What is the simple way to accomplish this?

It depends on how your panels are set up.
It is easy enough to copy and paste within the panels to have your comments. Post a sample line of text of what you are trying to do and maybe I can help out. Welcome to the boards, good group of people!! |

Or are you having a hard time figuring out drop downs?

Matt, also make sure you are clicking Save Template. That will ensure that any new narratives you add will be there for the next inspection.

Here's a simple template with several panel ideas on one section tab. This has panel lists, drop-down lists and damage comments intermixed to show you several ways to get the same info into the report. Hope this can spark your creativity.
