TOPIC: Help - I need to recover overwriten file

I have completed the report on the house, opened new template for the septic, and after doing the septic report I typed in the same name and forgot to add "- septic", clicked and saved the inspection - obviously overwriting the original inspection file. Is there any way to recover the original file???

Darn, somehow missed this post last night. Sorry guys. Frank, definitely call, open a ticket or hit live chat if it's something urgent like this (maybe you did and one of the guys answered it). If you're running Windows Vista or 7 you can browse to the file via My Computer, right click on the file (C:\Program Files\Home Inspector Pro\Client Data), select Properties->Previous Versions and recover one of the previous save points. Save points are a bit erratic but you'll have a few based on the last points you saved at.

but I do not see the Previous Version in those options - General/Settings/Security/Customize

The lower end versions of Vista don't have it included. Download ShadowExplorer.com which is a work around to show you what Vista is hiding. Browse the file within the program and select the dates from the drop down to look at the date of the different saves.
