TOPIC: Freeze up!

I'm wondering if the problem is with my computer or HIP...BUT...at times, when I've used the "Edit Comment" feature and switch to another tab, I can't toggle the "Edit Comment" button back to my Ratings and vice versa.  Anyone else have this trouble?

Hmm, so everything else works except for the edit comments button? Have you noticed and pattern to what you were doing beforehand? What version of Windows are you on? What version of HIP have you had this with? What version of Java (look under the control panel for this one)?

I'd never heard of anyone having this issue until last week when Joe Tribuzio said he had something similar going on. Nothing has changed with that function in quite awhile and no one else has brought it up so I don't know if it's coincidence or just some very rare occurring bug.

Everything else works fine.  No, I haven't noticed a pattern, just all of a sudden it won't switch back and forth.  I have to save the inspection, close HIP, restart it, then it's fine again.  I'm using Vista (over 1 year old computer) and HIP 2.8.  Java version 6, update 18.

It just happened right now.  I had clicked on a comment I'd already added to view what I typed, then closed it to write another...and it won't switch over to "Edit Comment".

Did you already have Edit comments open and then you turned it off, then tried to turn it back on again? Does it appear in other sections?

No, I don't think so.  I try to leave it open, finish a section, then close it and move on.  No, when it locks, it does not appear in any other section.
