There are a couple ways that guys will back up their copy of Home Inspector Pro.
1. If you'd like to just backup your inspections and reports, you can use a flash drive or CD burner to copy the contents. This can be done by opening My Computer (or just Computer) and going to Local Disk (C:), then Program Files (or Program Files (x86)), then Home Inspector Pro. Insert a flash drive or a blank CD. In the Home Inspector Pro folder, you can click on the Data and Client Data folder and drag those to the CD-R or flash drive. It will start copying and you have a backup. You do need to make sure the Home Inspector Pro program is closed when you backup the data. 2. You can follow the same procedure as in step 1 and copy the entire Home Inspector Pro folder. This will include the program, so you could launch it from a flash drive if need be to open your inspections. 3. Many guys will use an online system like Carbonite.com, which backs up your files to the internet. Their basic service costs $5 and would allow you to backup all your inspections and reports. There's a discussion of this here: www.homeinspectorpro.com/inspector-forum...estions/?topicseen=1 |
