I read that some H.I.'s print a blank/empty report, laminate it, and use a marker or grease pencil and carry that on inspections and use it as a guide to make general notes on, then later on the PC at the office transfer that info to their HIP template for a final report for the client.
Basically a empty report(with only the general info printed) with all the necessary blank areas to check and scribble notes. How can I print a empty report with all my headings and check areas?? What are my options? |

Hey Thomas,
Good Question, yes, you can print out a blank report that has all your items, just not filled out. To do this, go to Report Settings > Options menu, then the Item Options tab. On this tab, there is an option for 'Print item description (i.e. Comments, Materials) even if no items are selected. When this box is checked, each section of your report will be printed, with the lines for your selections. Also, the checkboxes for the conditions will appear if a Damage Panel exists. Go ahead and print your report, you could then laminate as you described. For extra convenience, you might also consider laminating two pages back to back so you have the double-sided sheets. In addition, on the Report Settings > Options, on the Layout tab, you might consider checking the 'Print report pages continuously.' checkbox. This will reduce the number of pages printed by running in continuous order. |

Very Cool, I figured there was a way. I'll give this a try later. I'll post again with the results. Thank you very much, T. |
