TOPIC: My Cuchihuasi, AKA The Redskin Room

Many of you have asked about my Cuchihuasi.  So here is the post.  I have offered it as a place for Dominic to stay when he comes to do a presentation in Virginia, so maybe this will seal the deal.

Cuchi is Quichua for "pig."  Quichua is a South American Andean language, essentially Inca, and is a dialect of the language Quechua.  More people speak Quechua in South America than Spanish.
Huasi is Quichua for "house."
The language puts things together to create concepts.  The language is NOTHING like English or Spanish.

So, my basement Man Cave, which we have called The Redskin Room, is also the Cuchihuasi, or, loosely translated -- Hog House.  That is after the Redskin offensive line, called "The Hogs."

Yes, those are Redskin vs. Dallas billiard balls.  Yes, all those photographs are signed, even the Sammy Baugh photograph, on the right, at an angle, just to the left of Vince Lombardi and to the right of Riggins.

Yes, on top of the microwave cabinet that is an M&M's phone - and it is mine!

Yes, the wall is official Redskin burgundy and the table felt is gold.  If I have to explain that...  well...

Yes, I had that Cuchihuasi sign specially made at Busch Gardens Amusement Park in Williamsburg VA.

Yes, that is the sofa with the bed inside, which folds out to a queen.  It faces the 60" flat screen and Bose system.  That is Dom's official Redskin blankie should he sleep there.

Yes, that is MY room.  I allow my daughter to play pool with me (she is pretty good!) and if my wife wants to invite friends over to watch a movie I insist they turn on the special estrogen air filter to clean the air.  It is off the picture, beside the TV.

Yes, the sofa and my over-sized chair are both burgundy leather and the rugs are intentionally Redskin colors.

Yes, when I want to get away, that is where I go.

Jay, that is definitely an awesome room. Looks like we're flying into Virginia, doing the seminar then driving the Maryland the next day to do the next conference. How far away are you from the actual seminar location as I'd at least like to go back to your place and play a few games of pool and see your man cave If you're too far then it'll have to wait until next year!
