TOPIC: Mandatory Inspections

Unfortunately I am going to start sounding like Norma Rae here but States can mandate or legislate  almost anything they want! YOU JUST NEED TO HAVE THE SUPPORT BEHIND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Attorneys have lobbied themselves into all Real Estate transactions in NJ by LEGISLATION. Why can't Home Inspectors do the same.

Norma...I mean Drew.  I totally agree with you. States can and hopefully will mandate inspections. But as long as Florida doesn't regulate HI's, mandated inspections won't happen. If it did, every 'unregulated tom, dick, and harry' would flood into the profession and drive down the quality and fees. That would be a scary day down here.

I'm going to start messaging my political leaders (loosly used term) to hopefully get the the discussion started. Thanks for the spark!

FYI- I'm a Jersey boy too...grew up outside of Asbury Park. Moved out of Jersey when I was 27 but go back often (still have 4 sisters living there.)
