TOPIC: Phone Scam

Series of texts from a person at 701-353-4080 inquiring about inspections, payment types accepted and so forth. Very poor spelling and grammar, as if English may not be his primary language. Claimed to be a Jay Smart and he wants to send me $5000, $4000 to go to the unnamed seller for some repairs, a nice inspection fee for me, a $100 gratuity for making arrangements, cover CC processing fees and so forth. I asked for the inspection address, the sellers contact info and for his info several times and never got anywhere.
I guess even the Nigerian phone scammers run out of new tactics after a while...

Sounds like the guy that was sending emails out the last few months. Nice heads up!

Got mine today.  Thanks for the heads up. I only text with known realtors and current or past clients.  Here is the text as it was sent:

"Hello how are you doing this jay smart i would like to know if you do Home inspection  service and what do you accept for the payment?"
