TOPIC: Infrared Thermography, also known as IR or thermal scans

I contacted a local Flir rep. and he is coming out to my home next week to demonstrate a few IR detectors.

I looks like I am leaning towards the B50. Only $5995.00

Ask him about the software.  They guy I'm using was telling me that its only for one computer.  If he wanted to give his clients (or me) a copy so they can manipulate the IR pic, they would have to pay for the software.  He said that Fluke's software is free for anyone that wants to put it on their computer.

I haven't looked into this myself so I am just going off what he is telling me.  This may be something of consideration in your purchase decision.

I was going to use the HIP program for my reports.

Does anyone that does IR have a checklist or form they use for performing energy audits.

So after I purchase my camera and take John Mc classes what other steps do I need to take before I can start performing IR inspections.

Another question would I be able to use some of your web information to create an IR webpage for myself.

And yet another question. I am sure Johns course talks about this but what steps are needed to market the camera.

Just had my demonstration with the Flir rep.

He had a 20K camera that he showed me.

The three I have narrowed down are the B2/B50 and B/200.

The B/200 has only been on the market for a year. It is a sweet camera for about 10K. Has a lot of features.
Removable lens/200X150 resolution. I like this type Vs. the handheld ones.
