TOPIC: ILLINOIS real estate law question

help me out, is there a law stating a real estate agent MUST be present during the entirety of an inspection???

I heard mention of it, but very frequently it happens the agent doesn't show up, or just calls with the entry code. WHICH is fine with me.

So can anyone quote an actual law for Illinois?

Hmm, I haven't heard that in any state either. Maybe it's just a recommendation?

Usually the "law" is just a requirement put on by the Multiple Listing Association that provides the key / access code capability to the agent.

To the best of my knowledge, no..it's not in the licensing act.
But, the Illinois Licensing Act was coming due this January 1, 2012.  It now states on www.idfpr.com the act is to be repealed January 1, 2022.
