TOPIC: Where's The HOA When You Need'em?

In most neighborhoods around here there are fascist HOA associations that go about preventing basketball hoops, certain types of play sets and wrong kinds of fences.

The associations ding people for slightly peeling paint, a bit of mossy substance on vinyl siding, bent mail boxes, stains on concrete and leaving your trash cans out 10 minutes longer than they think should be.

Somehow all that is done to protect the "value" of our communities and homes.

That, and more, much more, is all deemed inappropriate.  And unsightly.  And can get you fined.

For the most part such an HOA administrator attitude is okay, well, until I get dinged...  But I digress.

As I said, all that, and more, is deemed inappropriate, but THIS, THIS(!) IS FINE AND DANDY???

I'm not sure I get it!  No, I'm sure I don't get it!!  Those dishes could be the state flower in most states!

That's about the only way to be happy! I unfortunately picked a sub-division that is full of retired people that have nothing to do but walk around and nit pick your house. I can't even park in my driveway, which is tough when you have two teenagers with cars.

I get into fights with the Nazis in my neighborhood all the time.  Once they dinged me for rotting wood on my house.  There was none.  I invited them over to see it with me and that I would eat it in front of them if they found any.  And I was real obnoxious too, standing behind and looking over their shoulders!  I was saying, "See any?  Me neither.  See any now?  Me neither."  They were disgusted by the time we were done.  Then I said, "Unless you have something valid, stop wasting my time and LEAVE ME ALONE!"

They haven't dinged me since.
