It is about time for this post. This has been going on for too long. There are people on the AR site who are much better at blog writing than I. They have better topics. They may even have keener insights. And because of this, they earn more points than I. They are blog rich.
This is unfair.
By comparison, I have a paucity of points. That is not my fault! It doesn't matter that I have not been in AR as long as someone else. Or do not have the same skills. Or that I am so busy doing something else that I haven't the time they have to post blogs. Everyone knows the blog rich are getting their points unfairly anyway, so something needs to be done.
I HAVE A RIGHT TO THEIR POINTS!
Take Lenn Harley for instance. She is nearly a millionaire in AR terms! There comes a time when you have earned enough blog points. She is my neighbor. She lives just up the street from me. I am entitled to some of her points. She has plenty she can give to me. She can afford to be neighborly.
WE NEED TO REDISTRIBUTE THE ACTIVERAIN WEALTH!
Further, I think that we with fewer blog points and less-popular blogs should be allowed to bundle them and sell them to the blog rich and derive more points from them then they are worth as they are sold. These blog point derivatives, although composed of less-popular blogs, should be used to put people into popular blogs whether they can produce that popularity or not! If they turn out to be less popular than anticipated, too bad. The blog rich can afford it. Maybe AR can bail them out.
I think the blog poor should get points for being on AR rather than producing on AR! This works well. Those who manage AR should be producing more and more points for the blog poor. In fact, fewer and fewer points should be awarded to the blog rich per blog, with more and more of those points "created" given to the blog poor. We know this works every time it is tried. Just look at history.
Further, the blog poor should be awarded blog stamps, but the blog rich should not be able to receive them. They should instead pay for them with their excessive blog points. The blog poor can probably get together to negotiate more benefits from the blog rich, so that if they get laid off from blogging they still can get points. I think they should get points for a minimum of two years, but if that runs out the time should be extended. And they should be able to retire real young from blogging and they, and their entire family, should receive the full benefit of what they were receiving while blogging for the rest of their lives.
This will further help to REDISTRIBUTE THE WEALTH and give people like me more skin in the game.
The blog rich need to stay in the game, producing more and more points for the blog poor to use. This will give the blog poor more time to devote to those pursuits they want to do more. Whatever that might be. Let's call it the pursuit of happiness. It is my inalienable right.
How much of their points should be blog rich be investing in the blog poor? Personally I don't think 50% is enough. It probably should go more toward 70%, perhaps 72%. That should spread the wealth around more evenly. Some web sites in Europe have that as high as 90%, and it is working great there, so maybe AR should go that direction.
I am sure this will work .... until other people's blog points run out.
Some might consider this program to be unsustainable, but don't believe them. They are dangerous and crazy and should not be listened to. I think they will cause an AR riot. Stay away from them.
We in the AR community will come out of this better and stronger and more point profitable than we have ever been before. This will work just fine. I know what I am talking about.
