TOPIC: Most enjoyable inspection

This past Thursday I was hired by a homeowner who basically wanted to see how his 5 year old home was doing. My clients had one of the nicer, well maintained homes I have seen.

He also wanted to see how the inspection was performed as in his line of work (NASA) he could implement some of the techniques.

I probably spent an extra hour during the inspection just listening to his questions and answering them to the best of my ability.

He is an electrical engineer and was highly intelligent, detailed and anal. He did have some issues with the sub panel he installed. I was sure to back it up with the proper verbiage.

The best part of the inspection was when he asked me if I was through working.
He likes to drink Bass ale in a frosted mug. So I enjoyed 2 Bass ales sitting on his enclosed patio discussing the report and other topics.

It was a very enjoyable inspection. The Bass ale tasted very good as well. Normally I would not drink but no agents involved, no rush for report.

I need to do more of these type inspections.

Oh and my wife purchased a case of Bass ale so I can sit and have one and think about my past experience.

Did you tell him he could use HIP to inspect a space shuttle?

Good Question Dominic. He could also inspect the space lab that has been up there fore centuries. I'm sure he could find some dicrepancies to include the site, grounds & grading.

LOL, very true. Plus I'm sure he could find quite a bit of damage to the siding! The space station gets pelted with microscopic debris all day long.

I didn't know a bass could make ale.

Dave hasn't responded in a few days. I have a feeling he's gone back to the guys house to hang out
