Re: security bolt 14 years 5 months ago #32567

I found a tool at Home Depot or Lowes (can't remember which now) to remove them from my screen on the front door when I went to replace it.

You probably did, found one in my truck and did not even know I had one.
Haven't installed toilet partitions in awhile. I have a bit for all the screws pictured on this website.

Got my kit at Wood Workers tool shop a few years ago.
Down at the bottom of the website, you can buy 3 different sizes.

Hope this helps.  :)

Thanks everybody :) Tamper proof  makes since. The ones I need to remove are lags going into stucco  on security bars so I am sure they are long.

Yikes!  That is a bummer job.  Bring your elbow grease.  Those should be harder to back out than regular screws.  I really don't know that, since I have never had to do it.  I am just imagining the physics of it all.

My initial thinking is, Yikes!

The ones for my security screen were the same Gary. About 3 inches long. Wasn't too bad though I still ended up having to use vice grips on one or two out after stripping them.

Good morning Dom, hope you are enjoying the weekend.

If he could show us which fastener he is talking about, I might be able to help more.
