Wondering if there are any additional thoughts for this thread?
I was going to get a 10" tablet to use in the field (instead of a dedicated iphone i use now), but it seems that getting a smaller tablet with a flash for the camera is nearly impossible. The iphone I use now is a bit too small. I'm thinking that a flash is needed for sure. Now I am focused on a larger size phone ...like a iphone 6+ or a galaxy note. Any thoughts on this? Thanks |

I'm right with you Scott, finding a tablet with a flash and even a small optical zoom has been about impossible for me...I think I found one a couple of years ago, but then it was gone.
I'm using an older iPad right now with a Wi-Fi enabled camera, the camera dumps the photos in to the iPad and I can move them in to the report as I go, or I just process the photos and insert them on the desktop version. I've been contemplating buying a new iPad...but I'll hold out to see if you get any additional feedback on this. Good luck! |

Because of the lack of flash or zoom most guys have moved to an iPad mini, iPhone or Android device. You can get pretty large screens on a phone now and the mini is a perfect size for many.

I use a iPad mini, it is older and does not have a flash but most pictures are bright enough. I also have one of those lights that you strap to your forehead for dark areas, that way Im not fumbling with my flashlight trying to take pics. It works out real well
