I have not updated to Yosemite yet, thank goodness. But is there an updated coming for HIP v3.9 users? Everytime that update message pops up on my Mac I am nervous that someone will accidentally agree and then I will be SOL. How are the updates coming?

No, we unfortunately won't be updating 3.9 for Yosemite. We have 6 months into HIP 4 before Yosemite was released which took another month to get working with Yosemite. Some of the HIP 4 changes were also required to work with Yosemite. It would require massive recoding of HIP 3 to make it works and that work has already been done in HIP 4. It doesn't make sense to spend more than a month making an old version of the software.

it is already safe to update to the new iOS??
