TOPIC: Macro programs, clip board expanders and HIP

I have noticed that macro programs and/or clip board expanders do not seem to work with HIP. This may be more of a problem with me rather than HIP but I used PhraseExpress (Great Program) for a number of years with CHIRP and I think I used it with a version of HIP when I first signed up - about 3 years or so ago. It suggested phrases as I typed and had an expanded clip board of the last 20 or so CTRL-C or CTRL-X actions which was useful at times in doing reports.
I have tried a few other macro and clip board expanders but even the ones that claim to work with "All" programs don't.
Anyone have a clue why and if there is a work around?
Trying to always have our report available and printed on site means any software help can save time and make that a little easier.

It could be that they don't work with Java programs. I know that Bob Elliott used Spartan Clipboard with HIP and it worked fine.
