TOPIC: Android Tablet

Hi folks.  Anyone out there using the Pantech Element android tablet?  Dominic... I imagine this will run the software just fine... it's 3.2 honeycomb?  It's a reasonably priced waterproof tablet, and up here in the land of rain, that's pretty appealing.

And one other question... can I use a different cloud service to move things around, or is HIP the only cloud service that can work?

Yes, that tablet should work fine.

You need to use the HIP cloud service. The cloud is just a fancy word for storage on a server. But the HIP server also takes the mobile data format and converts it to a HIP desktop inspection file so that the desktop can open the file. Without the server doing the conversion (which was too heavy to do on most Android devices) the file isn't any good.
