TOPIC: New Computer

I am looking for a new compute. Which processor is better, Intel or AMD? Intel has the i7 and I think an i7 extreme at the top of their line, I do not know for AMD, it all gets confusing. I do not need the best computer, but I don't want a bad one either. I will use it for some internet gaming and my business stuff mostly, the family gets the old computer. I really wanted a MAC, but, the inspection van needs some work so my money will go there.

I know what want in the computer except for the processor. I was thinking the Intel i3 or i5 for my needs, and maybe the AMD has a better processor, but maybe some of you guys have some experience and can help me out.

The i7 are nice, but expensive. From what it sounds like you're doing, the i5 will be plenty. I'd check out Costco if you have a card, or Sam's club. They have good deals on Dell computers.

Is Intel better than AMD? I may end up getting one with an AMD depending on price. What is the better AMD?

They go back and forth. I like Intel better though.
