If you're using an integrated service like ISN then you'll have this and much more. Otherwise we're focused on keeping Home Inspector Pro the best "Inspection" software. We're happy to make HIP work with other systems out there but don't want to turn it into an office, billing, inspection, nose wiping program. What has happened to our competition when they've done this is the overall program suffers and becomes mediocre.  That's why we've integrated with Inspection Support Network (ISN) and RecallChek to provide these services to you.

Just a Brainstorm- I dont know if this would be helpful or not.

Attached are my notes to yesterdays inspection.  I flip between these notes while doing my report back at home.  These are usually quick notes I jot down instead of using a pic.  What if we could open a "note section"; sort of like a "bookmark" right at the appropriate Tab in HIP.  I do notes like this because its, quick, easy, and I can keep my attention on the client and the actual inspection.

Of course, this may not be as much of a benefit with handheld Android/Iphone apps on there way.

Not a bad idea. I'll add it to the possibility list.

Just a thought on taking notes. I find that since sooner or later you have to enter the notes into HIP, it is easier, and quicker in the long run, to do it during the inspection. Takes a bit longer in the field, but you don't have to remember things for later. I personally prefer to complete the inspection and report writing on site, but if there is a time constraint I will leave the photo upload and annotating for the office. Much MUCH nicer to collect the check, hand over the report and move on.

Hi Richard, I personally have gotten away from typing in the field...and I never provide the report on site?

I take a pic or jot a quick not as shown above. ? 2 main reasons- (lst)I can better keep my attention on my client and the inspection; 2nd- I dont want to be rushed on how I'm going to phase whatever defect I need to write-up. ? ? If it's a common defect, Im going to already have it listed in my comments...if it's not I just make a quick note or pic. ? If those "digital notes are write where you want them in HIP, back at home I can decide on the proper terminology. Then I don't even have to "flip" screen between Notes & HIP.

Having the pictures to the right of the red and black comments is great when putting in comments and defects. Now if we could click on the picture and finish the process on the same page, such as adding the narrative or comments to the picture or removing the picture, that would save tons of time for me.
