I am running HIP 4.2.2 on my PC. I have lists built into the template. I move items to the red section, choose list options and save. When I generate the reports, I am noticing blanks. And, when I go back, the list has disappeared. I have not come up with a way to reproduce this regularly yet. I will keep trying. Thanks.

If you can reproduce, let me know. We haven't see anyone report this. Do you have a blank item at the top of your list?
Update to 4.2.8 when you have a chance. It won't affect this but there's other fixes in it. |

I do have a blank at the top of the list. However, when I go back to edit the item, the list is no longer there. The list is getting deleted out of the item.
I will upgrade. Thanks. |

I discovered how to reproduce the disappearing lists...
Since I use HIP mobile, my template gets changed. So, I have to edit statements for each inspection. For example, my statement may say the following doors scrubbed and did not open/close properly. Then, on the next lines I have a list of locations. The first location has two HIP lists - one for the floor and one for the interior location, i.e. "1st floor ""master bedroom". Sometimes, I add text to the end of that such as " closet" and make it 1st floor master bedroom closet. On HIP PC, if I edit that statement on the left side (template) or the right side (black/red) and remove the extra text at the end but leave the blank space, it all works fine. However, if I edit the extra text at the end and remove the blank space and click OK, it deletes the 2nd list (list adjacent to the blank space). I promise that I am not deleting the list. Please let me know if you can reproduce. Thanks. |

I'm not following 100%. Can you paste a few of the comments here so I can load them into a template and test? Thanks!

Not latchThe following doors did not latch:
- <<Floor>><<Interior Location>> closet - 2nd floor hall bathroom - 2nd floor back-center bedroom Thus, the doors could not be kept closed. The doors need to be repaired by a qualified contractor. In the example above, the <<Floor>> contains items like basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor, etc. and <<Interior Locations>> contains family room, master bedroom, hall bathroom, etc. There is " closet" added after the lists. This example exists in my template because I used HIP mobile to add to the list during an inspection. So, when I start a new inspection, I need clean up the list to start anew. I double click the item to edit it. If I delete "closet" and leave the blank space, all works great. If I delete the blank space and the word "closet" and click OK, HIP deletes the <<Interior Location>> list. So, if I double-click the item again to edit, the 2nd list is gone. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks. |
