TOPIC: [[NOTE]] Colors

[[NOTE]] Colors 9 years 11 months ago #59798

I just downloaded the latest version of the mobile app. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I noticed the NOTE colors override the green or red selection colors which come up when you choose a comment. The green or red color will appear when you originally select the comment but if you close the program or switch report files all those green or red colors will be gone the next time you access that report.

There is still a check box next to the comment indicating it has been selected, but there's no way to know if you have placed the comment in the summary(red) or the normal(green) comments unless you reselect it.

For a future update, it would be nice if the green and red would always override the NOTE colors once a comment is selected.

Actually no one has pointed this out! I'm guessing it's because few people reopen inspections on mobile. I'll check it out, thanks.

Maybe I don't understand was re-open means.  I have two inspections on my phone from yesterday.  If I go look at those two inspections, I still see the green and red comments.  I changed my NOTES color to blue.  The note itself always stays blue but the rest of the comments are green or red.  I am running Mobile HIP 3.6.7 on a Samsung Galaxy S5 with Android version 4.4.4.  Do I have the latest version?

I wasn't able to reproduce this on Android at all. I think it's on iOS only. On iOS I was able to get the whole comment to stay red or greed but not to get it to change to the note color either. I'm still testing though to see if I'm missing something.

Okay, here's what is happening. On the phone, the notes which I have as a title are longer than the space across The screen of the phone. So they all get truncated and have a triple dot(...) after them. It appears the triple dot is colored either green or red or black based on how I have them selected.

The whole comment including the NOTE turns green or red when I first select it, but as soon as I edit the comment or move in and out of any menu, it reverts back to the note color I had chosen, which was blue.

I guess I assumed the green or red color would remain once it was selected. That would certainly be more helpful in keeping track of what comments I have selected. I think in general I don't really need to change the note color because a few of my notes are short enough that the comment are even present.

Actually, this brings up another question. I have always used spacing #2 in the settings because the single line spacing was too crowded and the three line spacing limited the number of comments on the screen and increased the scrolling I had to do. It just dawned on me that when I select two lines, I never actually see two lines of my comment. Why is that? If I select three lines, those will show up correctly.

2 lines is working okay for me. Is the picture you took for 2 lines?
