TOPIC: Original Photos in Mobile Version

Peter, one of the biggest secrets is to force yourself to use it a full month. Without that time you'll never switch as it takes time to get accustomed to the change.

My template is currently well set up for windows, would you suggest too run with this version or what changes to a typical windows based template would you make in advance, before you "force yourself to use it for one month"

I'm intend to give it a full month.
Before I recommit myself, is there any basic changes that I should consider making to my windows based template to make the hip mobile more user friendly from the outset.
Also, would perfare Android to Apple, especially with the new improvements in the samsung galaxy s4 zoom camera, however should I bite the bullet and just use the Apple product as it works more smoothly using hip mobile.

The beta version of Android is really smooth too, just email us to get a copy of it. The Apple stuff is still a tad smoother but it's close.

Along with what Dom said about just doing it and forcing yourself to practice, I would add that your template is a big hurdle which needs to be addressed in order to use the mobile smoothly.

I took a couple days off and sat at my computer going from one section to the next rewriting my comments to be absent of lists. The fewer lists the better. I also started framing my photos differently. Since HIP has really high quality photos in the report I figured I can step back a little and frame the context and location of the photo which saves me from having to notate that in the captions or the comments. So having more generalized comments isn't a problem at all. I don't yet have the beta version with the drop-down list, but that has disciplined me to try and eliminate as many lists as possible.

I also went through all of my sections and added every possible caption I could think of. Since the iPad mini has a five megapixel camera, having the captions at the ready has allowed me to go ahead and take the photos with the mini, which automatically slots them, and then go ahead and caption them on the fly.

Back when HIP first got the NOTE feature I had gone through all of my comments and put a title at the beginning of them so that I could very quickly read that title and know what the comment was about. That feature has also been a timesaver.

Lastly, when I bought the iPad mini I made sure I got one with the cellular capability. This allows me to use the voice recognition which is built-in to the mini and that makes writing customized notes on site extremely easy. I bring a very small Bluetooth keyboard with me as well but I'm finding I rarely need to use it. When I do though, it's nice to have it.

Hey Dom, if I accidentally delete photos from a report I downloaded from the cloud, is the best way to regain those photos by merging the original file from the cloud with the downloaded file?

Somehow I deleted photos I didn't want to delete and then realized I had no other backup, but I wasn't certain what would happen if I merged the original file with my desktop version which I had made significant changes too. Does the merge feature recognize new comments and differences in the photos and only load the differences or will it double the number of photos I have?
