TOPIC: Original Photos in Mobile Version

With the newer [caption] feature, one could conceivably make all their comments into captions and then simply use the photos as the location of your comments. I've thought about producing a template which took advantage of this HIP flexibility.

What newer caption feature Cameron ?

Well it's not very new anymore, but in the damage panel when you make a new note there is a button which say "Add Caption". Clicking this will place Caption in the comment window. Whatever you write after Caption will show up in the photo caption drop down list after you slot the photo in that category. If you had all your comments as Captions you could use just the photo pages to produce the majority of your report. Your comment list would show up as soon as you slotted a photo and you wouldn't even have to have a comment section in the finished report, all the comments would be directly connected to each photo.  Of course you would probably still have comments of lessor importance which didn't go with a photo.

This would be a nice way to collect data on site by adding Captions to Photos. To make this really work well you would also need the option to select RED with some of the Captions so that the comment and photo would also end up in the Summary Section.

Oh yes I have been using the caption dropdown so long that I forget it is sort of still new.

I wish there was a double drop for the captions as well because of my need for a photo report system.
Explanation :
A single side list is pretty limited to basics such as location or it would be too long to save time over just typing.
I use it for locations and my list looks like this basically.
north
south
front
rear
top
bottom
left
right
corner
leaking
lose
copper
galvanized
plastic

You get the idea.

Peter you can check a box on the right to make the photo and caption appear in the summary
though I never use it.

Reason is because the summary would get to big.

Now we do have a color frame option in photo edit but you have got to drag it out each time.
You simply use the rectangular line option for that.

A one click preset frame would be sweet.
