TOPIC: Home Inspector Pro 3.3 Beta Released

Home Inspector Pro 3.3 Beta Released 12 years 1 month ago #50351

Hi Guys,

I'd like to make this version public in a few days so please check it out if you're up for testing new features! www.homeinspectorpro.com/dmdocuments/HomeInspectorPro-3_3.exe

Most of you are back at 3.2.7 or before as 3.2.8 and 3.2.9 only went out to a couple of people to test so I'm listed all updates within the last few updates:

3.3

New Feature: Pictures can be set to print on the summary page now. Just check the summary box next to each image while setting what section they'll appear in.

New Feature: Font on the summary page that lists the page & item and the section title can now be changed via Report Settings->Formatting.

Design Change: Increased the amount of text fields throughout the program that can be changed into other langauges.

3.2.8

New Feature: Added ability to change the font of the text on the cover under Report Settings->Formatting.

New Feature: Tool tip popups added to the edit list window when long narratives are on the right.

Design Change: Increased the number of RecallChek appliances that can be entered to 25.

Bug Fix: Number of columns set to display on a selection panel via Report Settings->Options displays correctly.

3.2.7

Design Change: Toolip that pops up to show you a complete narrative now appears above the cursor (formely was below) if the cursor is within 100 pixels of the bottom scrollbar. This should prevent problems with long narrative tooltips covering the scrollbar.

Bug Fix: Fixed long existing issue where some vertical scrolling might be needed to see a few narratives with some resolutions! You shouldn't see vertical scroll bars at all anymore in selection panels or the left side of damage panels. This means more room to see narratives too.

3.2.6

New Feature: Spanish residential template added!

New Feature: Spanish interface (menus, buttons, etc) implemented. Change language under Edit->Program Language

New Feature: Czech interface (menus, buttons, etc) implemented. Change language under Edit->Program Language

New Feature: Implemented Sort feature for List (drop down boxes) names and for List items.

New Feature: Implemented Move Up/Down feature for List names.

Bug Fix: Page numbers were off when using the new stationery feature. Now fixed.

Bug Fix: Prevented list names with no actual name.

3.2.5

Design Change: NEW English dictionary installed. Common mispellings are now removed from the dictionary (this was a result of those words actually being listed on wiktionary.org). Results of testers show the dictionary is much better.

3.2.4

New Feature: Option added to print DRAFT across a generated report for review. DRAFT is only removed when uploading a report. This was added for multiple inspector comapnies and franchises that want to make sure they can account for all reports being generated.

Design Change: New Line & Numbering added to the reset all damage panels option under Report Settings->Options.

Design Change: Changed the summary page to list the BEGINNING page of an item (i.e. Shower, Dishwasher, etc) rather than the end of an item.

Design Change: Changed how comments are listed when there's no description text on a selection or damage panel. Text will always be printed on the line right under the item name to keep the report consistent.

Bug Fix: Fixed RecallChek submission was including notes.

Regarding the RecallChek data collection and submission...

I have set up the RecallChek data page.  I have a total of 23 "appliances".  Naturally, all 23 will not exist in each report.  I just collected the data for 11 appliances and submitted to RecallChek.  HIP submitted 11 records but it was the 1st 11 records, some of which were blank.  There were other records that had data that did not get submitted to RecallChek.  Can HIP submit only the records that have data?  Thanks Dom.
