I did an inspection for a client that works for a software company that makes mobile apps. I was explaining the issues that I was having with HIP on my Droid X2 and I wasn't having them on my Droid Bionic. He was stating that since Android is still essentially "Open Source" it is less stable than the I phone and I may have two different OS's between the two phones. Is there any truth to that or is that Hog Wash.

The last HIP download that I had, caused the phone to shut down when I took and loaded a picture on the X2. No problems with the Bionic.

There's lots of truth to it which is why we've been making lots of adjustments. The iPhone version will need a lot less as it's the same on every phone.

Several of the phones use a ton of memory when trying to load pics on their largest setting. All you need to do is drop the photo quality down a notch (usually 3 or 5MP) and you'll be fine. Android limits memory per app which means we have to work around some of their requirements.

Not sure why you didn't get it, I'll send right now.

No, that would be a nightmare. We just have to keep the program sleek and flexible and it'll work for all ;)
