TOPIC: News Feeds

Some of my news feeds on my new site do not appear to be updating. I have 4 feeds and only one is updating automatically.

System showed they all updated 20 hours ago. I just updated manually and several of them had new feeds but only from today. Looks like the others just didn't have new feeds the last few days. Keep an eye on it and let me know. The auto update program runs nightly and as long as it's updating one it should be getting all of them.

Dom, remember I have this issue on my other site as well, but only one feed does not update, I update it manually every morning. On the new site, I left it for 3 days and none of them updated, although the system showed that they had updated. When you go to "news" or 'source" it gives the date and time of the update and they were 2 - 3 days old, yet the system said they had updated. Only one seems to be updating on it's own, that is "The Herald News". So there seems to be a discrepancy between what the system says and what is actually happening.

The time it says it updated is the time it 'attempted' to actually update. It doesn't mean there were any articles. Tomorrow morning check it out and see if there's any new articles. If not, try manually updating and see if there are actually new articles from today. When I manually updated I didn't see any articles that would have appeared 20 hours ago, they were all within that time frame.

Dom, The Chicago Suntimes has new articles every day, it is a major newspaper. Why would it not have new articles? Just like on my other site, the southtown feed does not update until I do it manually, there are new articles, but they do not show until I update. I can read the paper that I get at home, then update and the articles I read in the paper then show on my site. All I can say is, I do not know why.

Hmm, what period do you have the articles set to update to?
