on the header with business name / how do i get to make the font bigger/ business name is too small under the theme nachi logo/ advise

Hi Mike,

Depending on your theme you can create a block and design it exactly how you want and then put it in the header area. Turn off the site name and slogan under Theme-Configure to prevent duplicate text.

I'm on my cell so I can't see what theme you're on but over half have this option.

I'm going to be changing / updating my home page, but it may take a bit of time.  Can I just change the name of my new home page (when it's done) to "default.htm" to make it active?

Yuck, better pick a better name than that like illinois-home-inspector.html. You can make any page you want, just don't assign it to the menu. You set what page is the menu by listing the name of the page under Site Information
