TOPIC: RSS feed error

Trying to add a RSS feed to the site. I added it then tried to perform an update and I get this error: "The feed from Southtown paper seems to be broken, because of error "not well-formed (invalid token)" on line 37".

What site are you trying to get the feed from, and what's the URL you're using as the feed?

www.southtownstar.com/index.html is the site. When you get there it has a RSS feed button on the right side of page. I copied and pasted that. But, I discovered that is the link to the XML RSS feeds, (I think that is right) I had to click the link then do the copy and paste. I had to copy and paste the XML link and it worked. But, that brings up another question. On that XML page you have to choose a category, what if I want more than one category, or all of them? Do I set them up individually? Do I use the aggregator?

I also have the number of items at 3, but I am getting more than that.

I noticed that when you click on a RSS feed it navigates away from my site to the feed. Anyway that I can set it to open in a new window? I do not want people navigating away from my site. I want to keep them there.

You have the update interval set at 3 hours, that's not the number of items but how often it updates.

If they click on the feed from the news page: www.orlandparkhomeinspections.com/aggregator then it opens in a new Window.

I didn't notice the new page from the blocks, I'll have to update that in the code. Thanks for the heads up!

Your welcome. Now I feel like I am contributing. Few questions on RSS feed. How often do the servers allow the RSS to update? I thought I set mine at 6 hrs, I will have to fix that. Is there a way to choose how many news items show in the blocks? Can I RSS my ActiveRain blog to my site?
