TOPIC: Adding logo to header

Adding logo to header 14 years 3 months ago #35352

I want to replace the homeinspectorpro logo ( the little inspector guy) in theme 7 with my logo. I thought I knew what to do but every time I go to "up load logo" I can only access the files on my computer. I have the file in the personal file area due to needeing to resize it. what do I need to do?

Hi Larry,

If you're loading your logo from the theme page you do upload it from your computer. You'll want to resize it on your computer first using a free program like photoscape.org . You could also use a block to control the header area. In that case you'd upload it to your files first and then select it. Let me know if this makes sense or if you need any help.

Hey Dom,

I tried to add a block to the header and put the logo in it. That worked but, I couldn't get rid of the HIP guy and the text was all mixed in too. So step by step for this neophite. How do I remove the HIP guy and replace him with my logo (copy attached.

Keep the block that you have.

Go to Themes, click Configure next to your theme. Uncheck Logo, Site Name & Slogan (you can enter that info directly into your block). Then Submit the page and you should be set.

Dom,
That worked to get rid of the HIP guy but I must be missing some thing. I can't seem to get the text part to line up right. I set every thing back till I get this figured out.

What was the name of the block you were working on? More than likely the issue was your image alignment. Right click on the image, click Properties and set the alignment to left, which allows text to appear directly to the right of it.
