TOPIC: Photo word wrap

Photo word wrap 13 years 11 months ago #32581

I admit to being a novice here and this is my first post. I creating a page where the text wraps the photo I find that the margin of the text is too tight to the photo. How can I adjust this?

Welcome Jeff.  I love it when someone asks a question I can answer.  It makes me feel like I am somehow paying back for the all the help I have received when I just started.
When you insert a picture you get a box called "Image properties."  In it is a field called H space and V space (Horizontal and Vertical space.)
If you already have your picture inserted, edit the page, then right clicking on the picture should get you a menu with "image properties" as one of the options.
Try entering a number into both of these fields and see if you like it.   I usually use about a 5.

Paying forward instead of paying back.  I like it.

Thanks and that worked. Now I am trying to change the "format" of the word doc inserted and while I can "Bold" or "Underline", I can't remove the "italic" font.

You'll want to do the formatting on the web site itself.  The formatting code of MSWord messes with the text on the web page.  I have done it out of Word as well and it looked OK on Firefox but when I viewed it using IE, there was all kinds of gobbledygook in with the text.
In order to get rid of the text, it may not be enough to delete the text.  You may have to click on "Source" at the top left hand side, and delete whatever code may be on the screen there.
