TOPIC: Website evaluation

My website is a work in progress and will likely remain so for a while yet but I think I have enough of it completed to have a critical eye look at it.  Please be brutally honest.  That's not the same as being brutal.

Bert, in my opinion, you need to get your contact info that is on your home page more towards the top of the page. Make sure they can see it without having to scroll down. If they have to look too hard or can't see it right away, they are probably on to the next home inspector website.

Also, get some photo galleries up of defects you have found. These are great for clients to see your home inspection work, and what you can do for them. Check out some of the sites that others have up  look at the galleries. Everyone sets them up a little different, so find a sty le you like and get some images up for everyone to see. I haven't added to mine lately, but maybe this weekend I will get some new additions to it.

Thanks.  I have a page (the 3rd page on the menu) with my contact info.  You think I should have it on the home page as well? 

I have been on websites where I had a hard time to find contact information.  That is actually why I put a contact page close to the  beginning.  Maybe your finding indicates that this isn't quite enough.  I added it to the header now.  It looks fine and it does make it easy to find for anyone.  Thanks again.

Much better with the contact info in the header, I think you may get more calls this way. The service area looks little jumbled now though, but overall it looks nice.

It's like Dominoes.  Knock one thing out of place and everything else is affected as well.  I re-arranged the header a bit more.  Doesn't look as jumbled now I think.
