TOPIC: Search engine recognition

Mike has covered a lot of it. On my screen the bold font on the bottom half of your front page is too much, it hurts the eyes. The normal font is fine and then just bold your headers.

Remember, people search for inspectors in cities, not in states. So you have to include cities throughout your site (preferably only 5). Check out www.nachi.tv/episode24 for a video I did, then read over some of the optimization tutorials I've written here.

Dominic - I'm in the process of changing the fonts, or at least trying to, but I can never get the headers to look the same, although I am using the same font and size for both of them. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure you're not pasting from another program, that will screw things up. Highlight all the text, click the eraser button and that will help. Then highlight all the text and set the format (first drop down box) to Normal (DIV). Then you can change things without a problem and they should stay the same. If you're editing/deleting a lot of stuff you might find yourself needing to set the font for each paragraph as some tags get left over and will mess stuff up otherwise.
