It is true you'll get better rankings with multiple sites, with each targeting a city. But we recommend you start out with one site and finish it before moving on. You want cityhomeinspector.com. If that's taking try inspectors/inspection/inspections. Then try with The in front TheCityHomeInspector.com. Remember each of these is a separate site. We can copy your content over but then you have to modify the text to be mostly unique. We give you your 4th site free, but each one still gets 3 months free.

What Mike was talking about works well with the smaller cities. www.OrlandParkHomeInspections.com/Palos-...-home-inspector.html , Orland Park is his main city so that's in his domain name, he's also targeting Palos Hills so he's created a page on the Orland Park page just for that.

You would suggest using "inspector" rather than "inspections"?

As soon as I get your instructions, I wanted to get the main domain and I thought while I'm at it, I'd pick up the other domain names to have them.  I can do the sites later.

Try for the most populated cities first. People in the smaller cities may search the larger cities also. Try ElkRiverHomeInspector.com, it is available so is elkriverhomeinspections.com. Go to Godaddy.com and get both if you want. Try variations like Dominic suggested. But those should be great for SEO. We will all help you with the rest as you go.

Joe, Inspector/Inspectors doesn't make a difference from an SEO standpoint (both are searched pretty equally and Google looks at the root of words as well). So get whatever you think sounds better first and what's available.
