OK, I changed it. But to tell you the truth, ( I still don't understand The whole URL thing)

I will say this, some months ago Iwrote a blog, just to see what it was. I noticed yesterday that my blog shows up on page one... but then agai, of all the listings on page 1, I think only 2 or 3 are not me. (EIFS Site)

On my HI site, I used to be on page 12, now I am on page two. Maybe with all the new links and this URL thingy, I can move into a position that will get the phone t ring a bit more than waht is does.

Those are the page names people are going to use to link to YOU. Because the pages are related to your area it makes the link worth more.

Well, I still really don't get it , because although the word I selected are related to me, they are not names of any pages on my site. Actually, what is stopping anybody else from using the same URL as I am?

Think of a URL as an address (which is why its called a web address).  No two people can have the same one.  They may be able to use the same key words in theirs, but the first part of the address will be different.  IE

www.homeinspectionsnewyork.com is the address or URL to your site.  Nobody else can use this address/URL because you are renting it.

All the other stuff we add to it are like rooms in your house, only you have given the rooms a name.  www.homeinspectionsnewyork.com/ Home-Inspections-What-gets-inspected.html  There is nothing to stop two people at two different addresses or URL's from naming their living room the same name.  But again its at two different addresses/URL's.
