Hello Joe T. and Dominic,
Joe Diaz here from Chicago. Just getting started with the H.I.P. program and have been encountering some problems. First the Q1 I bought on EBay needed some work (In the shop now) and now I'm trying to download your Illinois template so I can start familiarizing myself with this software and I'm getting a (Adobe) error message. What file do I use? What steps do I take? Do I save or open? I live in the City by Midway airport and would appreciate any help you can give me. jd99 HomeCourt Inspections |

Joe Diaz welcome, its fun to be a hippie
The template needs to be saved into the folder that contains the templates that come with the software. Something like C:program files/homeinspectorpro/data or something similar in your computer. The file ending of the template is .tpz not .pdf so Adobe doesn't know what to do with it. Hope this helps some. Dominic or others will chime in and give a better answer if this doesn't work. |

Anytime you have a question feel free to post. Someone will help you out, but sometimes it will
take patience waiting for a response. Dominic is incredible in his ability to fix stuff. I have had personal experience with his help and it is much appreciated. Everyone on this site is very willing to help out if they can. Good Luck and have fun. Oh, and watch the tutorials, they will help out. |

Hi Joe,
Exactly what Jeff said, you save it to C:\Program Files\Home Inspector Pro\Data. Step by step instructions can be found in the second post here: www.homeinspectorpro.com/inspector-forum...-and-Sample-Reports/ Also like Jeff said, make sure you're downloading the .tpz file. The .pdf is just the end result (the actual report) and is used to see what this template can create, but you want the .tpz file to load it into your program. Also, Rick Maday and Bob Elliott have both uploaded templates in this section and are from Chicago. You should give any of the guys a call. I've been out to lunch and dinner with them and had a great time! Jeff, thanks for helping Karma for you! |
