Good evening everyone. I just started back with Homeinspector Pro this weekend after over 5 years of not using it. It's definitely evolved quite a bit during that time. So, ???I'm tweaking my template but I seem to be lost on this one issue. I want the template to automatically include those introductions on each system page of my report. I open them up in "edit" and check the appropriate box telling it to appear on those particular pages, but every time I go to generate the report, the introductions are missing. What am i doing wrong or not checking here? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Bert |

Hi Bert,
When you're in Edit Documents you'll see a checkbox to include the document on the same page as the section selected. Make sure to select that, otherwise it's going to a separate page before the section. Also, make sure if you're making a new document you're pasting the text through notepad before going into HIP. Something from Word or HTML won't work. |

Thanks Dom. Is it necessary to close out and save the template and re-open for the changes to take effect? And, will the changes take effect with a previous inspection or client when I open it?
Thanks. |

No it will take effect right now. No, it will not affect a previous inspection unless you set the documents specifically on that inspection. Once you start a job it becomes its own template of sorts so that it will look identical at any point in time in the future if you were to open it up again.

I see. So, basically every time I open the template to start a new inspection, the previously checked documents WILL be there correct?
Thanks. |

Correct. As long as you clicked Save Template when you set everything up (which you should do on every new inspection basically).
