TOPIC: My first HIP report

My first HIP report, here it is. Let me know what you guys think. I used template residential 1.

My opinion is that your summary page is way to long. I would have more information in the selection panel and just to the point comments to the summary that are damaged, safety, repairs, major.

Like the levelII fireplace verbage would be selection. Smoke detectors not tested would be selection.

If I was a client and had that many items noted on my summary I would be alarmed.

This is just my opinion.

Another point is you are duplicating the same text in your picture caption as in the selection panel. If it is the same do not add any text for picture.

Nice looking report but I have to agree to much up top in the Summary. Maybe moving some of the items listed in the summary to the Report it's self.
I would be alarmed with that many items listed you have to look at it thru  your clients eyes. Some of the minor Items that are listed my become a alarm your client.

I know I am new to the program, but, isn't it set up so that you can use the text? I thought the idea was so that you do not have to edit text into your pics and save some time.

I used to do the same but the comments are repeated.

So if there is only one photo and one comment I add nothing under the photo as it is already there in the damage/selection panels.

Now if I have multiple pics in an area I may add some text.

I did it the same way for about the first 150 inspections but an inspector had informed me about the repeated info.
