Hey Anthony I'm glad to see your doing things right.  It's not very often people break things down like this.  Its one of the next things on my list to do.  I've just been thinking of how I wanted to do it.

As for business plans, that's also a critical item to have.  If you ever want any kind of financing you've pretty much gotta have one of these.

Ya, even if you don't want to get financing its always good to have your short andlong term goals written down.

Funny story a while back my brothers and I were trying to start a paintball business, I spent four weeks writing a business plan, at that time Bank of America was running an ad that said, "we help small business get started". We took the plan to the bank, we filled out a loan request for $75,000.00, they did the usual financial background check, and in five minutes, without even looking at the business plan they turned us down.

LOL... funny how things work like that.  Most of the time they want you to have 20-30% down!  That's a lot a jack for a $75,000.00 loan

As for the business plan help, I haven't really found anyone that really helps out.  They all seem to tell me what to do.  But never really helped me do it.  I was trying to write one for my vending company and got bogged down in the financial portion of it.  That's about the time I started looking for a new book keeper and CPA.

I was also told by the small business development center that I need to have some kind of income to make things look better and that's when I got into home inspections.  lol  Seems HI is turning into my main focus and I'm started looking into selling my vending machines.  lol

I can't remember the name of the book off the top of my head that I used, when I find it I let you know, but it had about 50 written plans. It helped a lot because of the examples they give you. For me the hardest part was finding supporting info on some things and demografic statistics. One of the Instructors at the SBDC gave me a excel spreadsheet on financial breakdows for the year, I don't have my site up yet, if you want a copy of it maybe I can email it to you or somthing.
