Does my thermally tuned scan look like a paint job to you? Or are you just adding what cameras can find?
Doug said the paint was flaking, does not sound like a repaired area. This is a paint job from yesterday (not tuned): Tuned: " The camera was pick up the kilz.. good luck." Not really. It picked up paint that was not yet dry. Kilz has no effect on thermal conductivity. Your camera measures the material at the surface, not what is below it. Paint (even a week old) may cause evaporative cooling or increased conductivity where the repair was made, till it drys completely. |

No A/C registers those were in the floor. Later found out it was a fix and flip...may shed some light. A bit more than 4 feet from the wall. Using Tramex moisture meter. Took a couple readings of the area and the meter was 100 out of 100. Went to the other side of the light and the meter was 0. Couple other readings of the ceiling all showed 0.

Maybe one of the kids was testing his water pistol before you arrived for your inspection.
