TOPIC: Radon Test Kits and Labs

Calibration is every year by a qualified and approved Lab.

The QA/QP Quality assurance and protection is needed when owning your own equipment. This can be overwhelming at the start.

Duplicates, cross checks need to be performed as needed. Worker exposure on every test needs to be done. Quarterly records sent in.

I had problems a few years ago as I was sending my equipment to an un approved lab. They were advertising in the ASHI reporter.
Thanks to Sun Nuclear and The Ohio Dept. of Health it worked out OK.
